Has anyone dealt with trying to give a Lousiana timeshare back to Wyndham after one of the owners has died? I am an Illinois resident. Probate was filed in Illinois when my spouse died. Wyndham is possibly willing to "take back" our time share, but since Louisana laws are different from any other State, I am being required to provide a Judgement of Possession to Orleans Parrish Circuit Land Recorder's office so I can be declared the sole owner of this timeshare. Illinois does not have a Judgement of Possession as a part of the Probate filing. As it now stands, according to LA law, I am only 1/2 owner and my deceased spouse is still 1/2 owner. So, since I do not own via LA Deed the whole timeshare, I cannot give it to anyone.
